The
Chemical Analysis Solutions Unit (CASU) within Life Sciences Chemical Analysis
has excellent and sustainable growth and will continue to succeed and excel in
the principal market areas of Food & Forensics, Petrochemicals and the
Environmental business. New products and technologies will continue to be added
and introduced through a combination of internal development and acquisitions.
Are you looking to use your existing knowledge in GC and/or GC/ MS products and
their laboratory workflow to advance your career in this dynamic environment?
Although knowledge and experience of ICP-MS is an advantage, you will be
required to develop your skills within ICPMS and over time add this to your
portfolio of supported products.
Using your experience and technical knowledge you are recognized as a leader in
delivering technical support and troubleshooting. You will be primarily
responsible to handle high level technical support and solutions for CASU
products to the customer support organization. Support will be a combination of
remote support and onsite visits to assist the problem definition and resolution
of technical customer issues within the Americas. The support channels for which
you have responsibility are the onsite customer engineers, authorized support
providers, remote call qualifiers and the distributor organization.
You possess a logical approach to analyzing problems and are able to classify
and define the principal issues from a technical, customer and a business
perspective. You have excellent personal and customer handling skills and are
recognized as being a team player. As the primary support interface
between the field organization and the solutions unit, you are expected to
provide real time feedback of quality issues as they occur. With your good
presentation skills you will deliver training to the support organization for
approximately 10% of your time.
Location preference for this position is Wilmington, DE but will also consider
our site in Santa Clara, CA with primary responsibility for supporting the
Americas however you will be working as part of a worldwide team and will be
expected to interact and work remotely with different regions and travel outside
of your region where necessary. Expected travel time will be approximately 25%
within the Americas and worldwide.
Your success in this position will be measured in the following areas:
Escalation management
Real-time and remote support assist; increasing the effectiveness of
customer support.
Driving and leading the technical support of CASU products within the
organization.

Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Chemistry or related discipline or equivalent.
A minimum of 5 years technical experience with GC and/or GC/MS and its
workflow, ICP-MS experience is a plus.
Thorough understanding of related GC, GC/MS and/or ICP-MS applications.
Proven track-record in logical troubleshooting and technical knowledge.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and
negotiation skills.
Additional language skills a plus.
